Petr & Jitka Wedding

Greg DeLaPointe made this video/slide presentation

 (Video link is here:   http://vimeo.com/2735869)

 Notes to go with it:

At 41 to 50 seconds -- A shot of downtown Svihov.  Look how quiet it is.  And that's a highway that runs thru the middle of town.

57-60 -- The big structure is the government building for Svihov -- town hall, post office, tourism office, etc.

1.02-1:25 -- Where most of us stayed, the Pension Svihovsky Dvur.

4:05-4:13 -- In the background, one of Petr's corporate vans.  His company is named Svihak Lazensky.

4:17-4:20 -- A medieval style group that provided music at the reception before the wedding and during the wedding.

4:33-4:36 -- Jitka and her father entering by the castle's back gate in Petr's new car.

 5:37-5:39 -- Petr's mom.

6:05-6:12 -- Kevin arriving late and near death after sprinting back to the hotel to retrieve his passport (which was required of best men.  Who knew?)

6:29-6:32 -- Am still near death.

 9:17-9:20 -- Dion and Amy's daughters from L.A.

9:38-9:52 -- Strange Czech tradition involving a bib.

10:25 -- Petr joins band to sing his favorite song:  Svihak Lazensky.

10:42-11:08 -- Conga line that wound out the banquet hall and thru the castle grounds.

11:25-11:28 -- Petr's cousin, Maria.  She owns a jewelry shop in Prague.

12:38 -- Night is growing long.  Greg Hencir's shirt tails have come out.

12:43 --  Still later.  For some reason, Greg Hencir's pants have now risen up over his calves.

13:16 -- Background song is Svihak Lazensky.

14:34 -- Fellow on the right who needs a shave is Petr' cousin (Maria's brother).

15:05-15:19 -- Petr sings Svihak Lazensky.

16:17-16:26 -- Older guy with grey hair, cut-offs, and lime green t-shirt is our van driver from Prague who got caught up in the spirit of things.

16:56 -- Half the band (which has been drinking all nite) says the hell with it, abandons instruments and start dancing.

17:18 -- Banquet wait staff says the hell with it, abandons duties, and start dancing.
